They Could have at least Called

I waited all day for the vet to call me today. Kinda frustrating. I dropped Cammy off at the vet for her 9am appt this morning and they took her back to get a urine sample but came back out and said her bladder was empty to they were going to have to keep her until she peed. I told them that I ad to work from 11-1pm, so they could call me on my cell phone and let me know that I could pick her up. By 1:30 I had not heard from them, so I stopped by on the way home from the store. She had not peed yet, so they told me they would call when I could come her. At 4:15 I still had not heard from them. So I called. The doctor was just about the take her back and try to get her urine sample. So I guess she still had not peed. Which is weird because she pees all day here. I know because I end up cleaning up half of it. And she gets up constantly during the night. They said they would call when he was done. So I waited. Again. And waited. At 5:30 I finally called them.....again. I was told I could pick her up anytime before 6pm. I'm only about 2 miles from the vet so I went and got her. They have never been like that before. Usually they always call right away and let you know what is up. Of course now I have to wait for the results to come back tomorrow from the blood and urine tests. They gave me some antibiotics to give her twice a day regardless, and they gave her fluids. I think they had to do that to make her pee. Apparently she can't pee in public.
Poor old kitty....

Darwin Rocks

There have been some things going around on the internet about Kirk Cameron and his views on Darwin. If you are sitting there thinking "Who the hell is Kirk Cameron?" join the club. Not many people remember who he is. He played Mike Sever on Growing Pains. He turned all born again Christian during the filming of his show. There was some controversy about one of the actors on the show having posed for Playboy and being his show girlfriend. She was replaced by his soon to be wife of 20 years. After the show he started making only Christian based projects. That is why most people don't even know who he is any more. His group is going to hand out 50,000 altered books on Darwin's Theory of Evolution to college kids. They are changing the books to show that God created the world. They are upset because they believe that kids go to college and because almost all science professors do not believe in God and do not teach Creationism, that these graduates are coming out into the world non-believers...and Kirk can't have any of that! I really like what this one person said regarding this.

**Hobbes1:Creationists are intellectually dishonest, driven to self-delusion by deep insecurity. They refuse to lend serious, OBJECTIVE study to evolution, yet still attempt to argue against it with BELIEFS most of us were taught as children. If creationists want to disprove evolution, they can go around the world digging into Paleozoic strata, trying to find one indisputably human fossil. Find one, and it would blow the lid off evolution. To date, no such fossil has ever been found.Definition of faith: Belief in the truth of a proposition where there is no evidence to the contrary.Definition of blind faith: Belief in the truth of a proposition even in the face of evidence to the contrary. The difference between a scientist and a "creation scientist":A scientist sees something in nature that isn't well understood. The scientist applies the scientific method (observation, formulating an hypothesis, making predictions, test the predictions, publish the results so other scientists can test). If at any point objective evidence disproves her hypothesis, the scientist throws out the hypothesis in favor of one that better fits the evidence.A creation scientist begins with a conclusion, i.e., the Biblical creation story is true. He searches in nature to find evidence that his conclusion is true. When he finds evidence that tends to disprove his conclusion, he throws out the evidence and keeps the conclusion. At no time will the conclusion be questioned. The creationists call this, "science."And the cow jumped over the moon!**

I have a lot of friends who are religious. They go to church every Sunday. They all know that I do not have a problem with religion. My problem is with narrow minded people who believe only what they were spoon fed as a child. There is a whole big world out there, and most of it does not believe in the Christian God.
So why is it that some believe that only their God is the right one? That is what bothers me.

Cammy is Sickie-Poo

I'm worried about Cammy. She has blood in her urine this morning. I called the vet and the girl said she would talk to the vet and call me back. When she called back she said the he told her we could bring her in today and board her and they would monitor her until Monday, or I could just bring her in on Monday or Tuesday. I told her I work Monday and asked if Tuesday would be kinda late. She said that Cammy should be fine until Tuesday since she is eating and drinking. She does not seem to have a fever either. So I am going to take her in on Tuesday morning. I will, of course, be all freaked out all weekend thinking that this may be her last few days with us. Since she is 19-1/2 who knows how much longer she has, or if something as minor as a bladder infection could be too much for her little body to handle.
So I brushed her this morning and gave her loves and will give her all kinds of attention this weekend.
I'm sure that I am worried for nothing and she will have at least another year with us.

Back to the Real World

**sigh**
....................**deep sigh**................

Back home. Back to reality. Back to work. Back to being bored....
OK....it's not that bad. I'm just whining. (Geeze..I made it sound like work is boring. It's not. Well kinda when it's quiet. But I don't care. I love it here.) We had such a great trip. I loved that we did basically nothing. And the things that we did do were things that we had not done there before. So that was fun. We also really loved that we met up with 2 completely different friends while there. As Annie said....Who would have thought that we would have had to travel thousands of miles to have dinner?! Although that is usually the case with Annie since she is in LA and we are in Washington. But it is even funnier when you think about our meeting up with our other friends, who live just a couple miles from us! And they are still in Maui for another week....the dirty dogs....and I must say....they have a beautiful condo.
So I'm back to work. Back to having to figure out something to talk about everyday. But that's why this is all about my thoughts...its whatever comes to mind...even though some days I just don't want to think!

:-( Aloha Hawaii )-:

so sad....i will miss you pool....

Sunset 09/23
goodbye for now....

Aloha....as in goodbye....
We have enjoyed the last day of our Hawaiian vacation by laying around the condo, floating in the beautiful pool, and just looking out at the blue waters of the Pacific. I love how we just relaxed this trip. Usually when we take a trip we run run run trying to cram as much into a week as possible, with only one day in 7 to rest. Like God. LOL! But we rest on like day 4.....no way would we rest on the last day~ that's for shopping :-)
We have been scouting out different condos in the complex hoping that next year we can come back with the family. We had such a great time in 2005 when we all came here.
It would be fantastic to take another trip with kids and their SO's.
But for now.....

ALOHA HAWAII......

Sea Level to 10,000 Feet....all in one afternoon

Ioa Valley
Don't know what this is but it was huge. Like the size of a loaf of bread huge!

Ioa Valley
Haleakala Crater
This little doggie was not into its walk with his humans. It would run to catch up, but then sit. So funny!
The Kihei Crew watching the sunset.

Beautiful sunset on 09/22
......and there it goes.....

We did a lot yesterday. We took the drive into Ioa Valley first. I thought that we were going to get to go way into the valley, but I guess you only get to go into the Needle St Park. I was hoping to be able to see waterfalls and tropical areas. I guess if you want to do that you have to take a heli tour or a group lead hike. What we did see of Iao Valley was gorgeous.
Because we were not able to go farther in, we had a ton of time before we were suppose to be at our friends for dinner. So we decided to drive up to Haleakala Crater. We went from temps in the high 80's to low 60's. It felt wonderful! The view was incredible, and would have been even better if the clouds were not over the entire valley.
Then we went to Kihei to meet friends at their condo for dinner. They are not oceanfront like the condo we are in, but not much in Kihei is oceanfront. Just about all of it is across the street. So not a big deal at all. You can see the ocean from their place, you just have to cross the street and you are on a 4+ mile long stretch of beach. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a yummy bbq dinner.
Today is our last day before we pack up and head home tomorrow. I have enjoyed just relaxing and sitting around doing a lot of nothing!

ALL better.....

Cattle Egret came to visit
Something to drink while watching the waves
Sunset 09/21
Todays breakfast
A male Cardinal came by!
Red Crested Cardinal and Java Sparrows
Red Crested Cardinal

My legs don't hurt today! YAY! So we are going to head up into Iao Valley to hike around. We will stay on that side of the island all day because we are going to Jerry & Debby's at 4:00 for dinner.
It was good to stay around the condo yesterday. We went to the pool for a while, and then just hung out here. Very relaxing and good for me to stay out of the sun. We watched the turtles and a family of spotted eagle rays swim by. We saw the rays on Friday too, but they swim by very quickly so we never did get a photo of them.
Looking forward to going into a more tropical area today. We have never been into the Ioa Vally so we are looking forward to exploring new territory.

Never listen to "locals"

Sunset from the Marriott Wilea where we met Annie for dinner.
Hubby out snorkeling with turtles at the condo.
Turtle!

ouch....ouch....ouch...

We went snorkeling yesterday. When we were getting ready to go into the water a local was talking to some people by us. He was saying that they ask people not to put sunscreen on before going into the bay because it comes off and floats in the water and its affecting the coral. They ask people to use biodegradable lotion instead. So me, being stupid, felt bad about putting sunscreen on, so I didn't. So I burned every inch of the back of my legs. I hurt so freaking bad. What a stupid move on my part. We were going to hike around Ioa Valley, but I hurt just to move.

dumb....dumb....dumb

Did I say how dumb I was????

The Road from Hell in Paradise

I know the sunset from yesterday should be last...but its such a cool picture!
Cattle Egret
Plumeria
Poor super bored monkey. Poor thing kept yawning and scratching its butt.
Us. Ugh...what a bad pic. But ya know...it is what it is....
Blowhole. And some idiots....
Like this guy......Very cool picture though that hubby got!

O.M.G. We took a major butt-clencher road on the North side of Maui. HWY 30 to 340 back onto 30. It is the entire loop around the North West side of Maui. And I don't know how many miles of it is just a tight one lane road. Gorgeous views though. We had to stop several times to let cars pass....and even had to back up a few times too. Kinda freaky going down hill, around a curve...backwards! But hubby did it. Phewwww.....
We made a few stops for photo ops. Had lunch and walked the grounds at the Maui Tropical Plantation. Really pretty plants and flowers and some bored monkeys!
Today we are going to snorkel and then maybe meet a friend for dinner who is in town for the night working.
Enjoy a few pics!

Pics from Day 2

We have such a great view!
We watched turtles all day. I counted 6 at one time. There was a gal out snorkeling and she ended up over by the rocks where the turtles were. All of a sudden she stood up and a turtle flipped around right in front of her. She ended up with 3 turtles all around her poking their heads out of the water looking at her. They stayed by her for quite a while.
Beautiful sunny Maui.
Surfer
Sunset 09/18/09

Friday was a wonderful, relaxing day. We hung out at the condo all day watching turtles and a surfer. And getting sunburned. The only thing that hurts is my nose. Everything else has already started to fade, so no biggie. Now I can start tanning. Will be putting sunscreen on my nose though...ouchie. I also woke up to puffy eyes. Since my cheeks are toasty my normal morning puffiness had no where to go, so it looks like I was punched in both my eyes. It's quite lovely actually....OK...not really....

Hubby had friends stop by yesterday. Jerry and Debby bought a condo in Kihei (for rent if anyone is interested) and are entertaining friends all week. So we hung around the condo and had a couple beers and Guavosas (guava w/champagne).

Today we are planning on checking out Lahaina for shopping and the Saturday Market. Tomorrow I think we may be taking the hike around Ioa Needle in the Ioa Valley State Park. Or not....we really have no plans....just whatever we decide to do that day...ahhhhhh....so relaxed....

Aloha Kakahiaka!

Sunset 09/17
Breakfast 09/18
Some locals joined us for breakfast!
Cuties!
e..........e.........e..........e........k ( a slow eeek...get it?! hahahaha)

Good Morning! It's a beautiful morning here in Maui. We are going to hang around the condo today. Hubby's friend Jerry from work and his wife are here this week with friends. They are coming over around noon to visit, eat some snacks and have a few drinks. So we are just going to hang out here or maybe go check out the condo they bought over by Kihei.
Or just hang out here and drink.
Did I say we might just hang out here and drink???
;-)

Another reason for me to love Obama....And Team Jordan

YAY!!!! Jordan won Big Brother! I'm so glad she won that final HOH against Kevin. I wanted her to win BB by winning that final HOH comp and deciding who was going to the Final 2 with her instead of someone taking her. I really feel that you do what ever it takes to get to the Final 3 and then its up to you to get to the Final 2. Whoever wins that last HOH in my mind is the winner. So even though I love love love Jordan, if she had been taken to the Final 2 by Kevin, then Kevin deserved to win. I was so glad that Jordan beet (edit: beet??? wts??? i meant beat!) Gnat the Brat in the second part of the Final HOH comp. I didn't like Gnat from the very beginning of the show. She was annoying. Ugh....I loved that Jesse did not give her a vote last night. She lied to Jesse and lead him on in the house when all along she was never going to be anything to him after the show. I think that is what really pissed him off. I think that if she had just been honest with him so that they were just friends, he would have given her the vote. She played the game the entire season lying. I don't even like that she won $50,000. I hope they never....EVER....bring her back for an All-Star Show. Ugh.....
And here is my other Fav of this season. Jeff. Yummy! He and Jordan had the best relationship in the house. They were like a married couple. Little fights that meant nothing and left them both giggling. I loved the way they both laughed. I loved how he would laugh and laugh at Jordan, and she would just smile and giggle "Oh Jeff" It was so cute. I know that at least one time the show edited a portion of one of their HOH Room conversations that made Jeff look like he was being mean to Jordan. He wasn't. It was a long conversation that I saw on the Showtime After Dark live feeds. Most of the time during that conversation they were laughing. Jeff is just one of those guys that speaks strongly and it looks like he may be being a jerk, but he's not. He was just trying to get his point across, and she understood that. It was just creative editing.

I love this shot of them. This is how they were together in the house. I have hopes that they will continue their relationship outside the BB House. Fall in love and get married. They had great chemistry. It was like I was watching two people fall in love. I know how corny that sounds. Maybe I'm just a romantic. I know I'm not the only one who feels like this. From what I have seen online, Jeff & Jordan may be the most popular contestants ever on Big Brother. It was like a romance novel come to life! I'm going to miss them so much.....Please....someone hire these two for another show! Amazing Race??? Please???

Can I say how much I love the fact that President Obama is a real everyday kind of guy. This is the first time I have ever felt like I could sit down and have lunch, coffee, a drink...with a President. Don't get me wrong...I have complete respect for the fact that he is President. But I feel like he would be so easy to talk to. That he gets it. He understands what everyday people like myself are going through. Finally someone in the White House who was not born with a silver spoon shoved up their ass.
Here is a portion of an article today regarding his comment about Kanye 'The Jackass" West. I love it!

NEW YORK – President Barack Obama's candid thoughts about Kanye West are provoking a debate over standards of journalism in the Twitter age.

ABC News says it was wrong for its employees to tweet that Obama had called West a "jackass" for the rapper's treatment of country singer Taylor Swift. The network said some of its employees had overheard a conversation between the president and CNBC's John Harwood and didn't realize it was considered off the record.

The network apologized to the White House and CNBC.

Harwood had sat down with the president to tape an interview following his appearance on Wall Street on Monday. Although they are competitors, CNBC and ABC share a fiber optic line to save money, and this enabled some ABC employees to listen in on the interview as it was being taped for later use.

Their attention was drawn to chatter about West, who was widely criticized for interrupting Swift as she accepted an award at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards to say that Beyonce deserved it.

During what sounds like informal banter before the interview begins, Obama is asked whether his daughters were annoyed by West's hijacking of Swift's acceptance statement, according to an audio copy that was posted on TMZ.com.

"I thought that was really inappropriate," Obama says. "What are you butting in (for)? ... The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there?"

A questioner chimes in, "Why would he do it?"

"He's a jackass," Obama replies, which is met with laughter from several people.

The president seems to quickly realize he may have gone too far, and jovially appeals to those assembled that the remark be kept private. "Come on guys," he says. "Cut the president some slack. I've got a lot of other stuff on my plate."

Need I say more???!!!

tear.......

One of my all time favorite stars has passed away.....Patrick Swayze. I'm so sad, but also relieved that he is no longer in pain. No longer suffering. He fought so bravely. I will miss him tremendously.....
I love his movies...Ghost, Dirty Dancing and Too Wong Foo the most, but I have to say that this is my favorite Patrick moment ever....
Enjoy...

Oh gosh....The View has me completely in tears. Between Whoopie trying to talk about him and Barbara showing her last interview with him....tears....Yes Patrick...you take the love with you.....

Pizza Dough

Here is the recipe for the pizza dough that Melissa made on Friday. It was sooo good!

Emeril's Basic Pizza Dough

1 cup warm (100-110 degrees F) water
1 (1/4-ounce) envelope active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar or honey
3 cups bleached all-purpose flour, plus more as necessary for kneading
1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Cornmeal or coarse-ground semolina flour, for dusting pizza peel or pizza pan, optional

In a large bowl, combine the water, yeast, and sugar and stir to combine. Let sit until the mixture is foamy, about 5 minutes.

Add 1 1/2 cups of the flour, 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, and the salt, mixing by hand until it is all incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Continue adding the flour, 1/4 cup at a time, working the dough after each addition, until all the flour is incorporated but the dough is still slightly sticky. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth but still slightly tacky, 3 to 5 minutes.

Oil a large mixing bowl with the remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl and turn to oil all sides. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set in a warm, draft-free place until nearly doubled in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

When the dough has risen, punch down and roll out as desired. Sprinkle the pizza peel or pizza pan with cornmeal to help release the pizza from the peel if desired.

Yield: 1 large pizza crust, or 2 medium pizza crusts

What a great Weekend!

I had such a great weekend in Seattle. Spent Friday with Bryan, and then when Celina came home we went and had homemade pizza with James, Melissa and Richie. Bryan and I stopped at a Korean Market and picked up stuff for salad and the pizza. It was pretty neat going into the Korean Market. I just stood there and looked at all of this stuff that I had no idea what it was! Fun! The pizza that Melissa made was really yummy! Loved it. James and Melissa had been in Portland the weekend before and went to a Velvet Paintings Museum. Very cool! They bought a book of the paintings and we went through it. Some of them were really really good. Which surprised me because when I think of paintings on velvet I think cheesy Elvis or dogs playing poker! Which of course were both in the book! That and a very large Jesus with his hands spread out over a ..... semi truck! Too funny!!!
Then on Saturday night I went to see WICKED with Glynis and her daughter Kaitlyn. Can I just say how freaking adorable Kaitlyn is??? You just want to squeeze her little cheeks! And the twins Adam and Ben! So cute....and quite funny! I figured out right away how to tell them apart the first day...Ben was in blue! And then this morning I saw that one of them has a freckle on his forehead right above his eyebrow! But now I can't remember which one had it!
WICKED was fantastic. Gave me the chills and made me tear up all over again. What made it so enjoyable for me was knowing that it was Glynis and Kaitlyn's first time seeing it! Kaitlyn's reactions were priceless!
For this being her first Broadway show, we couldn't have picked a better one!

Randomness

Headed to Seattle today. Going to spend the day listening to Bryan bitch about the pain in his shoulder. Dude....it was just a little surgery. So they cut the end of your clavicle bone off. Sac up Sally. OK....he knows I'm just kidding, so don't get all huffy with me! I'm looking forward to seeing him and Celina. I feel so bad that I was not able to take care of him and mother him after surgery. But when your kid grows up and has a woman in his life you have to back off. So I have. Or at least I try. **tear**
Google is messing with me. When someone does a search for something like Journey, or FarmVille, google gives them my blog. A lot. I keep getting people from all over the world stopping by here. Hey Everyone from around the World who come here.....It's nothing special! Believe me! I'm just some middle aged woman with a boring, well kinda interesting at least to me, life. I have nothing great to say, just randomness. So I guess stop by if you want too....but you really won't learn anything here. Honestly....you won't! But if you do keep stopping by.....HI!

Big Brother More like Big Pervert

There is an article today on Yahoo.News about a fake Big Brother house in Turkey. Here it is....

ISTANBUL (Reuters) – Nine women tricked into thinking they were reality TV show contestants and lured into an Istanbul villa were rescued by Turkish military police after two months confinement, a police spokesman said Thursday.
Cameras in the villa filmed the women 24-hours a day, providing a live stream of images for Internet users who had paid to access the footage, the spokesman said.
The women, all from Turkey, according to the Turkish press, had answered an advert seeking contestants for a "Big Brother"-style television show. They passed an audition and selection process before entering the house.
"The women's parents called the police after they didn't hear anything from them. The military police went to investigate and heard the women screaming from inside," the spokesman said, adding the raid took place Monday.
Police detained three men and prosecutors are investigating, he said.
According to Turkish media, the women had signed a contract agreeing they would have no contact with their families and would face a fine of 50,000 Turkish lira if they left early.

What the hell? Seriously....some people are just a bunch of perverts. I don't see how these women could have known that this was fake. These guys most likely had all the right contracts, and said all the right things to make these girls believe that this was all legit. Reminds me of the movie Hostel, which I have only seen enough of to know that I will never watch the whole thing. By the way....how much is 50,000 Turkish lira worth??? My guess is about $0.50. Anyway....How horrible is this? For one thing, we're talking Turkey here. But then these women are from Turkey, so they probably didn't think anything of it. So here they are, locked in this house, doing who knows what, with people paying to watch them on the internet. Funny thing is, these guys probably could have gotten women to sign up for this if they had paid them a little something. People do this all the time. Live their lives on the internet with a webcam so that people will pay to watch them. Well...not people....perverts mostly. **hmmmmm.....wondering if i should hook the webcam back up????**

Bloggeritis

I'm tired of having nothing to say. Blah....I don't want to keep talking about myself. I find myself to be very boring, as I am sure you find me to be boring too. There has been nothing going on in the world that I want to spend the time talking about. Like the Presidential speech controversy. How ridiculous was that? Not the speech....the stupid controversy. Let the man speak to the little kidlins. Like it was going to hurt. Rip the bandaid off Republicans. It's going to be OK.
Goowa...I'm so friggen bored of being me. I want to be witty. I want I want I want....see....I'm boring myself. Bored bored bored. Have you left yet? Why are you still reading? I guarantee that it will not be getting any better. I need a nap. Or chocolate. I'm sure sex is not in the near future, so I have suppressed that need. Still here?? I thought for sure that the sex comment would have sent you fleeing to the hills. I need a vacation. The one I had in July was too long ago. I need another one. I don't want to wait one week. Because you know I leave in one week. For a week. On vacation. Because I deserve one. I work hard you know. Hard like a sailor. Is that hard??? How about hard like trucker? Or maybe hard like a mommy with newborn twins. **i know you thought i was going to be nasty but i wasn't so get your mind out of the gutter** Why are you still here????
I'm leaving....I have succeeded in boring myself.....

Where did the day go????

I didn't do much today. Niiiiice!!!! I love it. I wanted to sleep in, but woke up early. Watched Obama's fantastic speech to school kids (wish mine were still in school), then watched The View. I have not watched that show for a very long time. I was hoping to see what Elisabitch had to say about the speech happening, but she is out on Maternity Leave-Me-Alone. After that was over I was sleepy. So I turned on Ya-Ya Sisterhood, and fell asleep. Did not wake up for 2-1/2 hours. Went for a walk with Terri and Missy. It was good to get that in early! So yay...didn't get much done today at all. My day is complete! LOL!

Laboring away on Labor Day

I'm at work. Blah....It is now 3:30 and I have had a total of 5....yes F*I*V*E calls. Oh well. I only had the phone ring once before I left for lunch at noon. I did what I needed to do work wise in the morning and have been spending the afternoon scrapbooking. I have gotten quite a bit done. **pats self on back** I'm taking a little break and then I will get back to working on them.
Hubby emailed me this morning and told me that he had to put Alyeska (female kitty) in a time out in her bedroom. She has been terrorizing Cammy. Cammy is 19-1/2 and Aly is 2-1/2. WTH??? She is being so mean to Cammy. Aly won't let Cammy come out of our bedroom. She chases her back in, or she blocks the door by laying in front of it because she knows Cammy won't try to pass her. Aly is such a bitch. I shoo her off when I catch her doing that. And during the day when we are not home I just shut Cammy in the room. Sometimes Cammy will get farther down the hall near the kitchen and Aly will chase her back to the bedroom. I don't know if Aly doesn't want Cammy eating out of her and Kodiak's food dish or what. I think she just discovered that Cammy is afraid of her so now she is being a bully. I don't know what to do other then keep them apart as much as possible. It's never a fight or anything like that. She just pats Cammy on the butt and makes her run back to the bedroom. Or she lays down and blocks her way.
Ugh....she is a mean little kitty....

Journey at Borgata

Here is a video of Journey at the Borgata on 09/04/09. They closed the show with Patiently with Why Can't this Night go on Forever. It's a little jumpy at first, but it gets better. Just listen to the vocals. Arnel is fantastic....Love this song so much......

teh Woorst acter evar

Can I just say that Sylvester Stallone is the worst actor ever? I mean EVER! Hubby is watching a Rambo movie.....ugh....No.....CRAP. It's awful. I can't stand Stallone so much that I don't even want to spend the time to check to see if I have his name spelled right. Hubby always watches crap movies like Rambo. Some I can take, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon. But when he turns on Stallone or....heaven forbid......Steven Segal (do.not.care.if.i.spelled.it.wrong).....I just want to take a spork to my eyes. Weird thing about his Rambo choice. When there was a commercial break, he would flip to....hold on....ready.....My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Dude....I love that you watch chick flicks.....so why not just leave it on???? I would have totally watched that movie. But no. I only got commercial breaks. But now Rambo is over and he has picked a movie I can live with. A movie I will actually sit down and watch it. One of my Top 5 favorite movies of all time. The Sound of Music! I love my hubby when he watches chick flicks!

sleeeeeeepy....

I was going to blog today about how freaking tired I am, but then I just stopped by one of my new favorite blogs and she was talking about her insomnia problem. That does not seem to be my problem. I get really really tired and then force myself to stay up and play on the computer or to finish watching something on TV. If I would just go to bed when I felt tired I would just fall asleep and get the right amount of rest to feel all fresh and happy. So I have not been all fresh and happy today. I can't stop yawning. I know I should get back to taking vitamins and green tea....but I keep forgetting. I have been more concerned about harvesting my crops on FB then getting the right amount of sleep. Or watching Big Brother after dark because I want to be up on all of the shenanigans (which reminds me.....i need to go check the live feed boards....). Heaven forbid if I miss some big scheme. Some major backstabbing. A butt shot.....yaaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnnn.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........

good movie

We saw Julie & Julia today. Really good. A little long, but other than that I enjoyed it. I will be surprised if Amy Adams and Meryl Streep don't both get an Oscar Nom. Amy for leading and Meryl for supporting. It really made me think about my own blog. My blog about nothing really. OK....maybe its my blog about my thoughts at the time that I write. Which a lot lately seems to be blank. But I come.....day after day...and put at least something down. I try. I'm here. I know people come daily to read because they talk to me about it. So I apologize for being so freaking boring!!!! LOL!
But come back! Some day it may be really good!

**sniff sniff** You Stink!

This is an article from Yahoo.News today....

HONOLULU – Stinky city bus riders soon could get soaked. The Honolulu City Council is considering a bill that would impose up to a $500 fine and/or up to six months in jail for public transit passengers convicted of being too smelly.
The bill will be heard Thursday in committee. It would make it illegal to have "odors that unreasonably disturb others or interfere with their use of the transit system."
It doesn't matter if it's body odor or offensive fumes that emanates from clothes, personal belongings or animals.
Councilmen Rod Tam and Nestor Garcia co-sponsored the anti-odor bill.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii says it is concerned with laws that are inherently vague, which opens the door to discriminatory enforcement based on an officer's individual prejudices.

WTS??? Some people have physical problems that cause them to have body odor. I'm not talking about overweight issues. I know of skinny minnies who have BO. But seriously, to fine someone $500 because they stink? Don't you just kind of expect there to be people using public transportation who are smelly? I'm not saying that ALL people who use the bus system are smelly, but you know....that is why I drive a car! There are some smelly people on the bus. There are smelly people in the grocery store, at the library. You can't punish people because you think they lack personal hygiene. Maybe they just got off of work and have not had the chance to go home and shower.
It won't pass. It's just so ridiculous....

My son Bryan had surgery this morning. He had an old football injury that needed to be taken care of. He has been complaining about his shoulder for years, 7 in fact, but no doctor would do anything about it. "It's arthritis." "Ice it." "Exercise it." "Take an aspirin." He finally decided to go see a sports doctor at UW. They doctor there told him that he at some point during football, separated his shoulder and broke his collar bone. He had deposits on the tip of the bone and that was rubbing around in his shoulder socket. Or something like that. So this morning the doctor cut off the end of Bryan's clavicle bone. He is promising Bryan that after he heals he will be pain free. I hope so. Bryan can't even sigh papers without it causing him pain. And forget about sleeping. Poor kid. So the surgery is over, and now he is on his way to healing.
